Our Story

Like many brewery stories, mine also started out in my basement. Nestled between my collection of Star Trek memorabilia and 80’s band records, my homebrew setup quickly got me trying to out-nerd my brewing friends into a passion for using beer to connect with a much broader group of people.

As a serial entrepreneur who’s had his hand in many projects, I knew my next venture would be creating a brewery at a larger scale. I maintained the vision that connecting even more friends could help us pay it forward, and to make sure this new endeavor generates resources that could be shared back to the surrounding communities.

In 2017, work started on what is now Great Marsh Brewing Company, a full scale 15,000sqft operation including 30hl brewhouse, taproom and pilot lab, restaurant, and beer garden. Our beers represent a broad range of recipes catering to both the classical and more modern beer enthusiast.

Fast forward to today, and I’m pleased to announce our new home is complete and the official opening of Great Marsh Brewing Company. 

I’m also excited to share the amazing team that has joined me in this venture. From my co-owner and fellow entrepreneur Ian Brady, our restaurant partner, Webber Restaurant Group, to our amazing staff -- we have a shared desire in earning our spot in the community with every pour and every plate we serve. And with that, a mission dedicated to helping other members of our community through partnerships and continued philanthropy. 

Taking a line from my favorite band, “A spirit with a vision is a dream with a mission” sums up what we’re all about here at Great Marsh Brewing Company.
